Can Vancouver handle a third Metallica concert?
The founders of thrash metal announced Thursday that they’ll be playing a third concert at Rogers Arena, scheduled for Monday. This is because the shows are being filmed for a 3D movie, and to allow the director and film crew to capture any shots they don’t get on Friday and Saturday night.

We will be running though the full live show one last time at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, but unlike the Friday and Saturday shows there will be lots of breaks in it to allow for cameras and lights to be repositioned as the director sees fit. Since it is way more fun for us to have YOU there, tickets will be available for just $5 (no extra fees or service charges!) and all the proceeds will benefit the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.
Please come and plan to stay for a full night of fun and games… and who knows, maybe we’ll see you on the big screen next summer!

Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the show starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale Sunday at 9:00 a.m. – there will be no floor tickets as the camera crew needs the space. Tickets will be assigned to a lower bowl or upper bowl section, but are general admission within the section.
