[NEWS] Excerpt of Rush’s “Clockwork Angels: The Novel” online

Rolling Stone exclusively has the first chapter from Rush’s Clockwork Angels: The Novel, the book that accompanies the band’s 19th studio album of the same name.
Set for release this Monday, the 304-page novel was written by science fiction writer Kevin J. Anderson, along with drummer Neil Peart who came up with the album’s concept.
[REVIEW] Rush’s “Clockwork Angels”
The plot, as described by Anderson, involves a young man (the protagonist) travelling across “a lavish and colourful world of steampunk and alchemy, with lost cities, pirates, anarchists, exotic carnivals and a rigid Watchmaker who imposes precision on every aspect of daily life.” Peart said he hopes the novel can one day be turned into a Broadway performance.
